Cause Digital Entertainment Library (C•DEL)

C•DEL provides wounded warriors and their family members with easy access to DVDs, video games, and gaming systems.

In 2007, C•DEL branches at Walter Reed (WRAMC) in Washington, DC, and Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio, TX handled more than 30,000 library transactions. In May 2008, Cause opened a third C•DEL branch at the Landstuhl Regional Military Center (LRMC) in Germany and a fourth branch at San Diego Naval Medical Center in California in September. Next up: the Carl R. Darnall Medical Center at Ft. Hood, TX (January 2009).

Support C•DEL

Community and corporate support for C•DEL is vital. A fully equipped branch costs about $65,000 with annual operating costs for equipment replacement and purchases of new DVDs, video games, and gaming systems estimated at $20,000 per branch.
